Jacob Saltzman - Self Sufficiency Skills and Instruction as peer advocate in solar, irrigation & organic farming.
Mr Saltzman was a homeless US War Veteran from Iraq in 2007 living out of his car in Northern California. Unskilled and desperate to leave behind homelessness, he focused on self sustenance in organic farming. He went on to college and gained a degree in Water Conservation and taught himself the basics of solar, irrigation, farming and other skills. He was determined to never be helpless and reliant but to accept a helping hand and make the best of it. He currently owns his own 5 acre farm in Northern California and gladly teaches others how to gain skills while homeless.
